My name is Megan and I'm a wife and work-from-home mom of 7 (yep, seven). I started Jayne Ann (then Jayne Ann Jewelry) in February of 2015 with my 2 daughters, Cortnie and Lydia. My husband and I grew up working for our dads in their businesses, and we really wanted to do something similar to teach our children how to work. Since Cortnie (our oldest) was almost 13 at the time, she was the one we most wanted this opportunity for. My baby #5 had just turned one, and after battling the worst postpartum depression I've ever had, I desperately needed something to pull me out of that darkness. So my girls and I started hand making jewelry and selling it online and at craft shows. It was more of a hobby than anything at that time and something the girls and I could do together.

In January of 2017, I felt like we needed to do more with our little business. A friend of mine asked me if I would talk to her girls about what it's like to run a business and that sparked a new interest in me–I want to inspire young entrepreneurs to chase their dreams too! It's so fun to watch my girls throughout the process of running our business. There are moments they don't want to help, but there are moments of pure joy when they see the return of their hard work! Not to be left out, my boys have also shown an interest in helping with our family business (hence the fidget spinners we once had in our shop!) and have loved helping with pictures and packaging things up to take to the post office. I know this will bless my children in many aspects of their lives and I'm so grateful to be able to provide this opportunity for them to learn how to work and run a business!

Fast forward to Fall of 2017...and we've expanding! You know the saying "You can't pour from an empty cup"? Well, my cup gets totally empty quite frequently, and I needed something to fill it up.

I don't know about you, but it's a glorious day when I can actually shower and get ready for the day. I always feel so much better about myself and get way more done when I'm dressed! Our little business started with jewelry and other accessories, which always make a girl feel good! But, we've decided to make it more. We want to give you the whole look from head to toe. We want to help you feel good about yourself, too! So we've added clothing as well!

As part of this change, we're adding a whole new take on Jayne Ann – Fashion for the Soul. Because you can't pour from an empty cup, we want to help you feel good about how you look and fill up your cup! Cause you know, when you LOOK good, you FEEL good and you DO good! We're starting with the basics but we have so many fun things on the way to help you look and feel your best!
